The Custom Peña-Song is a collaboration between designer Jared Van Otterloo and custom maker Enrique Peña. This is the pentacle of high-end Balisong blades, executed with Peña’s renowned fit, finish and attention to detail. This version comes with a Black Boomerang Stainless Steel Damascus blade from Chad Nichols, integral-bolster titanium handle construction and exotic, Fatcarbon Materials Uni Black carbon fiber inlaid handle scales.
Brand new, direct from Enrique Peña.
Blade: The clip point blade is made from striking, exotic stainless Damascus from Chad Nichols in his Black Boomerang pattern. The blade rides on micro bearings for smooth, solid operation. If you can bring yourself to use this knife for cutting, the Nichols Damascus provides modern stainless performance with a shallow hollow grind for excellent slicing. Either way the stainless blade should require minimal maintenance.
Handle: Integral bolsters and liners form the foundation of the frame with a blasted matte gray finish that contrasts nicely with the striking, precision inlaid Fatcarbon carbon fiber handle scales. The handles have a good weight for cycling thanks to the beefy construction and anodized titanium spacers at the latch end of the handles. The titanium latch with steel pin provides a tight closure in both open and closed positions for secure carry and use. Satin titanium hardware completes the construction.
Includes Peña embroidered black nylon zipper pouch for carry and storage.
Stainless Damascus: Stainless Damascus offers the performance of a modern stainless steel while delivering a unique look from the pattern welded layers and acid etched finish. Available in multiple patterns, stainless Damascus gives a knife a striking and singular look. Nichols’ exotic stainless Damascus is composed of AEB-L, 440C, pure nickel and 304 stainless.
