The handle is genuine Mother of Pearl with a Nickel Silver Boker Tree Inlay Shield. The bolsters are Scrolled Nickel Silver. This knife utilizes a 3 3/8″ Clip blade and 3 3/8″ Spey blade. The blades are Stainless Damascus Steel. Damascus blades are made by welding/forging together a few hundred layers of hard and soft steel and then etch with acid. The acid dissolves the layers at different rates resulting in a visible pattern on the steel. The alternating layers give more flexibility and toughness to the steel, and the hard and soft in the edge act much like serrations and aid cutting.
