Handcrafted in Solingen, Germany, this handsome time-tested Boker Liner Lock is approximately 3 7/8 inches long(folded/closed) and weighs approximately 5.6 ounces. The handle is Desert Ironwood with a Lanyard Hole. The Nickel Silver bolsters are stamped with an Individual Serial Number. This knife utilizes a 2 7/8″ Drop Point blade. The blade is Damascus Steel with Boker, Damast, 2013 and Solingen Germany etching. Damascus blades are made by welding/forging together a few hundred layers of hard and soft steel and then etch with acid. The acid dissolves the layers at different rates resulting in a visible pattern on the steel. The alternating layers give more flexibility and toughness to the steel, and the hard and soft in the edge act much like serrations and aid cutting.
